The Dala Horse (DalaHäst) would be easily recognizable to the people of Sweden! Small wooden hand-carved horses were painted in vibrant colors (usually red) and given to children as a toy. When the Swedes came over to the New World in 1638, any children would more than likely have had this toy with them.

On the coloring page you can color your horse whatever color you like! Don’t forget to share your works of art with us on Facebook (New Castle Court House Museum) and Instagram (@newcastlecourthousemuseum)
